Heres what we've done since the last posting.
I framed the ceilings in the living and dining area. I did this for two reasons, first I needed a place to add lighting and I wanted to use recessed can lights so I needed someplace to mount them. By framing in the ceiling in some areas it gave me a place to install the lights. Second, I wanted to add some insulation to the ceiling, even though I'm not insulating the entire ceiling every little bit helps. I also insulated all of the new walls that I installed. It's been a cold winter.
I've also passed all of my inspections....
Framing, HVAC, Electrical Rough-in, and Insulation. I've got a drywall contractor coming next week to drywall all of the living, dining, and kitchen areas. We are also going tomorrow to pick out our new cabinets.
Hopefully in the the next update will more promising....
